Best for you. Best for baby.

My name is Beckie Walker and I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  I am originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania but moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend Drexel University where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, minored in Addictions Counseling, and concentrated in Human Lactation/Breastfeeding.  After graduating in June 2015, I was successful in becoming a Registered Nurse as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  I completed my clinical hours for the Human Lactation/Breastfeeding Program at Pennsylvania Hospital, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as Drexel University's 11th Street Clinic in North Philadelphia so I have experience with helping women and children with breastfeeding/lactation from prenatal care, fresh newborns during their initial hospital stay, as well as infants who have been breastfeeding for weeks or months.

I currently work as a Registered Nurse at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, an IBCLC at Lankenau Medical Center and also babysit for multiple families who have some of the most precious, rambunctious, happy children in the area.  I am extremely passionate about the well being and health of children so my hopes of this site is to serve as a platform for my private practice lactation consulting business as well as provide up to date information and resources that can help parents feed their children to the best of their abilities.

I am available for home consultations for any breastfeeding/lactation needs!  As I am waiting to be confirmed as an In-Network Provider for local insurance companies, I will assist families with insurance reimbursement after consultation.  Please feel free to click "Schedule a Consultation" in order to contact me to schedule a consultation.  Click here to sign up for quarterly newsletters that will have featured articles from myself, pediatric doctors, nurses, and fellow IBCLCs.
